Is Hypnotherapy for you?

Hi, I'm Sam Corrigan, Clinical Hypnotherapist & Practitioner.... now usually when I tell people what I do for a living their response is 'Can you make me cluck like a chicken around the room' I always respond with 'only if you really want to!' The reason for my response is all Hypnosis is Self-hypnosis, my job is to support the person through the approach and guide them into making the positive changes that they wish to make.

So, let's get some of the myths out the way first!...

1. Hypnotherapists have magic powers to take over your mind! ... Not true!

2. You can get stuck in hypnosis forever!! ... Not true!

3. You lose control of your mind ... Not true!

4. Hypnosis makes you say or do things that you don't want to do. ... Not true!

Hypnotherapy is one of the most misunderstood therapies out there, however Psychologists and Neurosciences are becoming increasingly interested with Hypnotherapy results as they recognise the level of success it has with mental health issues.

Within my first few months of qualifying I launched Self Assured Mind Therapy and have been able to support so many people with various presenting issues from Anxiety, stress, fears, phobias, addiction through to weight loss, stop smoking or simple relaxation techniques to support sleep difficulties. As you can see Hypnotherapy can cover such an array of problems, which is complimented by my counselling skills and all other skills that I've learnt within my working roles throughout the years. (A skill tool box of approaches!)

'Hypnotherapy is so beneficial for so many personal difficulties...' advised Ed, a client of Self Assured Mind Therapy '...Hypnotherapy is such an enjoyable relaxing and calming experience, people should give it a go... what do they have to lose!'

I remember the first time I had Hypnotherapy and was so sceptical, I almost wanted to resist it working... but after minutes of relaxation I was able to feel the words the Hypnotherapist was saying to me (I'm a very feelings person!) and ended up uncontrollably crying as the therapist supported the underlining difficulties I had buried for years! I came out of that therapy room a changed person. The Hypnotherapy approach gave me clarity of my past on a much deeper level, which empowered me to move forward, such an amazing experience. That's why I know it works, may be not for everyone but you just need to read my FaceBook page reviews to get evidence that it does work for many: https://www.facebook.com/selfassuredmindtherapy/

Ed's right 'Give Hypnotherapy a go, What do you have to lose?'
